How to Donate
The Trust was set up in 1994 to try to provide some help to people in the town undertaking educational or sporting pursuits.
Many such Trusts exist in villages and small towns in the area and they either have a substantial capital sum invested, providing a good amount of interest each year, or they have a regular source of income such as rental from property. The Trustees of the Carterton Educational Trust are still working hard, after nearly thirty years, to make similar provision for Carterton that will be sustainable into the future.
We are always keen to hear from any company or individual who might consider making a donation or leaving a legacy to the Trust. The Secretary, Mrs Tan Marchant - email: [email protected], would be delighted to hear from you, or get in touch via our Contact Us page.
We have received a number of donations over the years, including £106 from Knit & Natter in June 2018, £1,129 from the former Carterton Town Mayor Martin McBride in June 2019, a further £100 from Sandie Baylis of Carterton Knit & Natter in October 2019 and £85 from Co-op Travel in March 2020. See photos below.
We are also delighted to report that the Doris Field Charitable Trust, the St Michael's & All Saints Charities, the JA Pye Charitable Settlement, and the PF Charitable Trust donated a total of £4,000 in November and December 2019 as a result of our latest fundraising campaign. Thank you so much to all these people and charities for their generosity which, quite simply, enable the Trust to keep going.
